A mockup is an image that shows how the final product will look like after the production process. This is useful for both merchants and customers since it visually represents the product that should be produced by the print provider and received by the final customer.
What is the mockup generator?
The mockup generator is a tool with one purpose: to aid you in customizing your products so they look exactly as you want them to look. The final result will be a collection of several different mockups that you can choose to display on your store's listings so your customers know exactly what to expect from your product.
How does it work?
The mockup generator can be used to adjust your design, upload more layers, add text, and select the product variants you want to upload to your store.
In the mockup generator, you will find the following functions:
Main tabs:
Gallery: upload more designs or get them from the Awkward Styles Community.
Product: customize your product.
Catalog: choose a different product to customize
Add layer buttons:
Add text layer: add text, change its size, font and color.
Add image layer: add a different design to complement the one you already have. Layers can be overlapped together.
Preview button: generate a preview mockup to test your design.
Size and position parameters: change the current layer's position, size and rotation.
Current layer: the layer you're currently working on. More layers can be added with the "Add layer" buttons.
Alignment buttons: automatically align the current layer to a determined position so you don't have to visually guess the correct alignment.
Color variants: select the product colors that you'd like to list on your store. Make sure your design is visible in all product colors.
Select light colors: selects only the light colors.
Select dark colors: selects only the dark colors.
Size variants: select the product sizes that you'd like to list on your store.
Create template: once your product is ready, click on this button to proceed to uploading it to your store.
You can access the mockup generator by choosing a product from the catalog or by choosing a design from the design library and start creating a product right away.
